My Platform...
I intend to use my new title to continually focus the spotlight on this fantastic organization. Don't be surprised if you see me and my crown at the airport as I see a family off or welcome them home from their experience. It has been said many times before that "...doctors provide the medicine and we provide the magic". After seeing the faces of the children we have helped, I couldn't agree more!

The
Make-A-Wish Foundation of Minnesota has been my passion for the last 18
years. The Foundation fulfills wishes for children age 2 ½ to 18 with
life threatening illnesses. I serve as a foundation ambassador,
volunteer trainer and fundraising chairperson. My most fulfilling duties
however, are serving as a "Wish Grantor". I love to actually meet the
children and their families to see their joy as I am able explain that
their dream is about to come true. 
In 2005, I was honored to be
named the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Minnesota's Volunteer of the Year.
In Minnesota alone, we have granted over 3000 wishes. Wishes can range
from having a special toy to a family trip to Disney World; be as
functional as a computer; or as exciting as meeting a favorite
celebrity. Whatever the wish, it is the dream of the child.
